Let's take a closer look at the outside ski, as we need to get very friendly with this ski. The outside ski is the ski on the outside of the turn (so the right ski in turns to the left). It is also referred to as the "stance" ski in PMTS and, confusingly, as the "downhill" ski by many coaches (see Outside ski vs Downhill ski++). We will contrast this with the inside ski, which is the ski that is on the inside of the turn (the left ski when turning left).
