As we get lower and lower in transition with flexing++, keeping the feet underneath our hips becomes more and more important. When the legs are longer, leveraging the hips forward seems more natural (photo below), but as you flex more, the only real option is to pull the boots back strongly, otherwise the feet would shoot forward at the end of the turn.
