Many use phrases and movements that are what I like to call "ski-centric".
For instance "push into the skis" and "move away from the skis".
These use a ski-centric frame of reference, using the skis to control everything, including the upper body.
That is obviously true to some extent, but I prefer to use a "body-centric" frame of reference, where the perspective changes to "flexing" and "sucking the boots to the body" and "extend the boots out".
These images/cues use the upper body as the central leverage, and I feel are more applicable to high-performance skiing, as they recognize the fact that the body has inertia and the feet are usually unweighted for the most part.
